A Wedding: Part 1
So a couple of weeks ago, I shot my first “real” wedding. By that I mean I had photographed a wedding ceremony before for a coworker, but there was no reception, and the wedding itself wasn’t a big to-do. So while technically I had photographed a wedding before, this felt different.
It was also for some very dear friends, so I definitely felt a lot of pressure to do my best work. While it would be horrible to have a stranger not be happy with the photos that you took, at least you’d never have to see them again. Not so with friends (at least that’s the hope!). I can only hope that they like the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. I was extremely honored to even be asked to be in charge of something so momentous. Here’s hoping I lived up to their expectations!
And now prepare yourself for a barrage of photos….
Bride and bridesmaids getting ready!
Reading a letter from his bride….
One last shot of the bride before the ceremony!
And it’s showtime!!
Spotting his bride for the first time!
And this might be my very favorite photo from the ceremony. These two love each other something fierce, and you can totally see it in the way they are looking at each other here. Beautiful.
Another favorite. Makes me want to bust out singing “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?”
They had a beautiful prayer ceremony where all of the parents prayed over them. I love all of the emotion in this picture!
Going in for the kiss….
I could not have asked for more perfect lighting for some of these shots! Divine.
I realized about halfway through this post that I have entirely too many photos for one post! I’ll be back for part two, which will have all of my favorite post-ceremony portraits as well as some fun reception shots!
