Flowers and Football

Spring in Texas means wildflowers are everywhere! On any given Saturday during the spring, you can see dozens of families pulled off on the side of the road taking pictures in the bluebonnets. Last Saturday we joined the ranks as I took a few (more like 200) pictures of my nephews surrounded by bluebonnets.

Sunday was Easter.  For the first time in many years (maybe ever), I wasn’t in church on Easter Sunday. Instead we spent the morning doing our regular Sunday morning routine of grocery shopping and cleaning. After that, we headed down to campus for the annual Orange & White Spring practice game put on by none other than our favorite: Texas Longhorns. This is an opportunity for fans to get up close and get a preview of the next year’s football team. It was a real treat for us because we got to sit right in the front row:

We watched Mack Brown and Will Muschamp chat it up before the game:

We got to see our new QB in action…and chilling on the sidelines:

The team looked great,

and we can’t wait for next season! Hook ’em Horns!
