Just Because
When we got home from work/daycare the other day, I noticed that Annabel was matching the flowers out front.
So we went out,
and took a few pictures.
Just because.
Annabel mostly just enjoyed ripping the flowers apart.
But I didn’t mind.
Too busy was I snapping picture after picture and enjoying watching her explore her world.
How strange and exciting it must be to see, hear, and feel new things every single day. It’s important for me to remind myself that that is what’s happening when I find myself getting impatient with her constant desire to touch everything.
She was literally touching a flower for the very first time ever!
And when you think of it that way, it’s pretty damn cool.

Kaylee LOVES to pick flowers.. I’m setting up a flower garden in a few places in our yard so she’ll have some to explore with. Brian forgets that she’s exploring things that we take for granted as well… it’s pretty amazing to watch her learn and grow.
It’s the coolest thing to see the world through new eyes…and spending lots of time with babies/kids is the best way to do that in my opinion!
What a cute little outfit Annabel had on! The last picture is my absolute favorite. Your last post reminded me of a link I wanted to send you, and now I’ve forgotten it. I’ll try to find it soon …
That’s a great way of reminding yourself to be patient. It’s getting harder and harder for me to always be patient with Liam, but it is necessary to remind yourself from time to time why they’re doing what they’re doing
. Unless its completely unreasonable … Then my patience is gone
I’m thinking it gets harder and harder to remember this sort of thing the older they get! And when they can start doing things to intentionally piss you off? All bets are off!
Yes, I had ZERO patience for the SECOND “liquid soap and toothpaste” ant trap I found all over the bathroom counter yesterday. Here’s the link I was going to send you … just because I thought the pictures were awesome!

Haha, that definitely sounds like a blog post to me! I’d love to hear how Liam came up with that concoction!
I think you should go into business as a baby photographer!!
Ha, now you’re just being funny:)
Really, they’re so good!! lol
Such pretty pictures
Why thank you! I love taking pictures.

What a wonderful Mom you are! I wanted to cry reading your narrative–but you are right! Discovery is learning. You and Nathan are very special parents.
Thank you, Francie. It really means a lot coming from you because you are such an amazing mom to Nathan AND me:)
