Annabel’s first Christmas was a success!
The weekend before Christmas, we did our annual Christmas cookie baking and decorating:
This year my mom also tried something new: cake balls! Yum!
We spent Christmas Eve with my family,
and then had our Christmas at home on Christmas morning.
After that, we made our way to Nathan’s parents’ house for Christmas there. I wonder how many times I can type Christmas in this post? Christmas, Christmas, Christmas!!
Annabel got a silly red hat from Nathan’s aunt and cousin.
She also got tons of clothes, toys, and even diapers! She made out like a bandit.
And what did I get you ask? A new, external flash for my camera! (I also got a Kindle which I can’t wait to tell you about because I’ve long been a Kindle skeptic. But no more!)
Now we can get all sorts of great indoor and nighttime shots! Yippee!
We finished off the evening with some wine,
delicious food,
and great company! I reminded Nathan’s parents that it was during this dinner last year when we told them the news that we were expecting Annabel! It was neat to see how we’ve come full circle.
By the time we were ready to leave, Annabel was snug in her PJ’s and ready for bed!
A wonderful Christmas indeed!

Those cake balls look super cute, and I love the funky baby hats as well!!
Ha, yes, babies in hats is one of my favorite things!
Wow, those are some pretty fancy cookies! Ours didn’t look nearly as nice (but delish, all the same). LOVE Annabel’s hat
That’s funny because every year I laugh at how silly they look! But they are definitely delicious, which is all that matters!
