The Color of Sunshine
There’s a spot near our house, right off of the highway that I stare at every time we drive past. For weeks, nay months, I’ve been wanting to go by and take some pictures. Last night after work, that’s exactly what I did.
It’s just this sea of yellow flowers. It’s literally off the side of one of the busiest highways in the city. On the corner is another busy street and on the other side is a shopping center. But nestled there in the middle is this chunk of land seemingly untouched by all of the busy-ness of the world around it.
I just love it. In a place where we don’t see very many fall colors, this is a nice splash of color.

I love your photos and blog!! I’ll definitely be back.
Thanks very much!
Great pics. When I see stuff like that, I always think how pretty Austin must have been before anything was here. Rolling hills of those pretty yellow flowers, or covered in wildflowers in the spring. Awww sort of makes me sad. But I enjoy your pics :^)
I know what you mean, Ashley! I’m just glad there are still some untouched places…though they are fewer and fewer these days:(
